It's one week later and people everywhere are still talking about highlights of the Super Bowl. Whether you loved the halftime show or were heartbroken by the final score, the friendly sales team at Woody Folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM hopes that you enjoyed watching the big game, and perhaps you even got a chance to see the consumer-favorite Dodge and Jeep commercial spots.
According to USA TODAY Ad Meter results, both brand spots landed among the Top 15 in the yearly poll. The Dodge "Wisdom" spot placed second among automobile commercials and sixth overall while the Jeep "Beautiful Lands" spot took the No. 5 position among automobile brands and 15th overall.
"Wisdom"
The 60-second spot celebrates the Dodge brand's 100-year history by inviting 11 centenarians to share their advice for living a full life. Their words are paired with the roaring engine of a 2015 Dodge Challenger.
Drivers in Douglas and beyond helped the brand expand its web traffic during the Super Bowl, with Dodge brand site traffic increasing by 14 percent and Dodge Challenger traffic increasing 40 percent. Since the spot was aired, the brand has recorded more than 63,000 social mentions.
"Beautiful Lands"
The 90-second spot debuted during the big game as a means of introducing the 2015 Jeep® Renegade to the U.S. market, portraying an around-the-world journey paired with the lyrics of "This Land Is Your Land." The commercial's tribute to the American heritage that is closely tied to the Jeep brand's history was expanded to embrace "beautiful lands" throughout the world, displaying more than 40 locations and 10 countries spanning the United States, Spain, Brazil, Australia, India, China, Italy, Thailand, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
The airing of "Beautiful Lands" induced a spike in site traffic as well, including a 40-percent jump for Jeep during the Super Bowl and a 342-percent increase for the 2015 Jeep Renegade. Since last week's game, the brand has earned more than 43,000 social mentions, and 90 percent of them were associated with the Super Bowl commercial.
