For 2025, the new Ram 1500 trucks coming to Baxley greet our Woody Folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram facility with several upgrades, including more fuel-efficient drivetrains, upscale tech features, and a new trim level. With eight trims from which to choose, consumers have many possibilities to consider when creating the pickups of their dreams.
Engine Options and Performance Specs
The new 1500 trucks available to Pine Grove and Hazelburst consumers have automatic eight-speed transmissions and RWD. But, 4WD is an option. Base models come with 3.6-liter V6 engines that put out 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The drivetrain enables the pickup to carry up to 2,300 pounds and pull up to 8,100 pounds.
For more power under the hood, some might prefer a 1500 with the Hurricane configuration with an inline six-cylinder 3.0-liter engine generating 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. Increasing the power enables the trucks to carry a maximum of 1,910 pounds or pull up to 11,560 pounds.
Choosing a 1500 truck with a high-output configuration must run on premium high-octave fuel. The drivetrain consists of a tweaked 3.0-liter V6 engine to generate 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. Each pickup has a maximum payload of 1,370 while having the ability to pull up to 10,740 pounds.
Interior Design
The 1500 trucks have Quad or Crew cabs, though the latter are more spacious. All have cabs boasting hard and soft-touch surfaces and multiple textures, which elude to a more upscale atmosphere. Five-passenger cabs have large, centrally located consoles that offer various storage configurations. An additional storage compartment remains hidden beneath the cab's rear floor.
Base models have fabric or vinyl upholstered interiors. However, advancing up the trim ladder features leather upholstery with wood, metal, and fiber accents. Upgrades also include heated and power-adjustable front seats.
Technological Amenities
Consumers from Tifton to Metter opting for a 2024 1500 pickup enjoy the benefits of upgraded tech features, including giving drivers a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. The infotainment system has an 8.4-inch touchscreen and enables wireless smartphone integration. Possible upgrades include a 12-inch touchscreen boasting a vertical profile. Standard devices have six-speaker stereos, which may be upgraded to 19 speakers. Other possibilities include adding a 10.3-inch passenger interactive screen with navigation software plus the ability to display exterior camera views. For extra functionality, passengers may use the HDMI plug to connect phones or tablets to mirror content.
Front-seat occupants have the convenience of two wireless charging pads. New owners can also add a 10-inch, full-color heads-up display. Adding the Trailer Auto Hitch Assist feature allows the truck to align itself with a trailer, as the driver controls the brakes and throttle. Optional telescopic trailer tow mirrors extend or retract as needed. Combining the mirror-mounted camera with the forward and reverse spotter makes parking and trailer hook-ups much easier.
Assist and Safety Features
Starting at the base Tradesman level, Ram equips the 2024 1500 trucks with forward collision warnings and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assistance help prevent accidents from either side. The rearview camera and rear cross-traffic alert tech minimize the risk of a rear collision. In addition, the adaptive cruise control monitors traffic speed and makes adjustments as needed. Headlights switch to high beams automatically as needed. Sensors front and rear aid in the task of parking and backing up.
