2022 Ram 1500 Classic Model Review in Baxley, GA

There are all the different models, bed lengths and configurations, trim levels, all the engine choices, RWDs and 4WDs, and the different cab styles, not to mention all the available features that can make Ram trucks, already some of the hardest-working trucks around, some of the best-equipped and most luxurious trucks you can drive. There are so many variations that it can be hard to keep track of all of them. We'll try to help a bit here, by pointing out the distinctions between the 2022 Ram 1500 line and the 2022 Ram 1500 Classic. Â
2022 RAM 1500 Vs. RAM 1500 Classic in Baxley, GA
While the rest of the 1500 line has been more modernized and no longer offers a 2-door (standard) cab, the Classic (which can be had with a Quad Cab or Crew Cab, depending on trim level) still starts out with the utilitarian look and 2-door cab configuration that for decades defined the 1/2 ton pickup truck. And while the Classic doesn't force anyone to do without certain creature comforts and modern conveniences, like air conditioning and power windows, Ram 1500 Classics are basically work trucks, nowhere near as plushily outfitted as many of its Ram 1500 brothers. The Classic comes in three trim levels: the Tradesman, the Express, and the off-road-oriented Warlock.Â
1500 Classic Tradesman vs. 1500 Tradesman; 1500 Classic Express vs. 1500 Bighorn
The more stylish-looking 1500's initial trim level is also called the Tradesman, but its MSRP starts at almost $4,000 more than the Classic Tradesman. If you order a Classic Tradesman with a Crew Cab, the difference shrinks to about $40. For that extra $40, the 1500 Tradesman gives you a telescoping steering wheel and more payload and towing capacity than the Classic Tradesman. But the 1500 Classic's next trim level, the Express, shows some real advantages over its equivalent, the 1500 Bighorn. Again, the 2-door Classic Express starts at some $7,000 less than a 4-door 1500 Bighorn, but when you add 2 more doors to the Classic Express, it's still almost $2,500 less, and with roughly the same payload and a higher towing capacity.Â
1500 Classic Warlock vs. 1500 Rebel
It's in the Classic's aggressive-looking off-road trim level, the Warlock, that the advantage really shifts to the Classic. The Warlock has no 2-door version, but even with 4 doors it's priced at almost $8,600 under its equivalent, the 1500 Rebel. That difference will more than cover adding options like 4WD, a 5.7L V8, limited-slip differential and off-road tires. The Rebel does, however, offer an impressive array of standard features and options like a 12" infotainment screen, lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control, which are not available on the Warlock.Contact
